Stuart’s practice is focused on civil litigation with an emphasis on creditors’ remedies, corporate commercial litigation, insurance law, bankruptcy and insolvency law, and professional negligence matters. He regularly appears before all levels of Courts in Alberta and before various administrative bodies.
Stuart is a council member of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and a public member of the complaints inquiry committee of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta. Stuart is a past chair of the Creditors' Rights and Young Lawyers' Sections of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and is a past section coordinator of the Alberta Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Stuart has been an instructor with the Legal Education Society of Alberta and is a former member of the board of directors of the Art Gallery of Alberta.
